Julie Clark

HOMETOWN: Roswell, GA
YEAR IN SCHOOL: Second
Year
MAJOR: Public Relations
DANCE EXPERIENCE: When
I first started dancing, I learned to clog, Irish step dance, and
tap. For several years after I was introduced to Ballroom, I
taught basic patterns in local Cotillions. I began training with
my coach Rex Jones my senior year in high school when he introduced me
to the Country part of the Ballroom world, and was asked to join the
UGA Ballroom Performance Group my first semester as a freshman.
FAVORITE
DANCE(S): Waltz, Nightclub Two-Step, and Polka!!!
MORE ABOUT ME: Dance is
the most important part of my life, leading me to want to do everything
related to it. I just love choreographing pieces and designing
(and sewing, and stoning) ballroom gowns! When I began to train
with Rex, he inspired me to dream of anything and everything, and to
take a chance and go for it! I began competing in Pro-Am with
him, and am most looking forward to competing in the UCWDC World
Championships in January this year! Dancing really is my life,
and I
know it always will be.
