MORE ABOUT ME: I owe a lot to ballroom dancing. Once Sophomore year, I was on a backpacking trip with some friends and we got lost. It was November in North Carolina, snowing, and we were away from our campsite without flashlights, food, or anything to keep warm. It was starting to get dark and the situation looked bleak. Luckily me and one of my friends had taken Dr. Wheeler’s ballroom class that semester! We taught the girls with us how to swing dance, and so were able to dance to keep from freezing until the other members of our group could find us. So remember, ballroom dancing saves lives!
